YAM YEST DESIGN - Etno Lamp
The flower-shaped lamp design was created for the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw, where it will be on display starting at the end of October 2023. The flower was meant to symbolically illustrate the characteristic lines on flower petals that are visible in ultraviolet light only to insects. These lines serve as guides, inviting pollinators into the heart of the flower.
The original design envisioned the upper part of the lamp being installed in the surface of a display cube. The mobile version you see here gained the signature legs typical of my style. Thanks to them, Etno became another member of the yyd family – this time, a flower creature! I emphasized its narrow waist with a ring in a contrasting color. This makes the lamp resemble a bouquet wrapped in paper and tied with a ribbon.
The lamp is printed with a textured, matte finish. It connects to power via a fabric-covered cord with a switch. The set includes an E14 LED bulb.
Approximate dimensions:
Height: 36 cm
Maximum diameter: 20 cm

Hi! My name is Adam Szczęsny. I’m the founder of the brand Yam Yest Design.
I create lamps using 3D printing. I work with the most popular type of filament – PLA, which is made from corn starch. This material is environmentally friendly while also being durable and flexible – it’s perfect for my creations!
I really enjoy playing with colors and experimenting with how light interacts with them. This playfulness and the joy of discovery are my main motivations. I like surprising myself. I also love diving into structural details and looking for new solutions. I'm both an engineer and an artist – that’s what they say about architects, right? I'm also a big kid at heart, and I give myself permission to create cartoonish forms that are meant to bring joy, surprise, and above all, create an amazing atmosphere in any interior!
